How we’ve adapted our program to the COVID pandemic:
After months of praying and planning our school reopened on August 6, 2020. The following procedures were enacted to best provide for the
health and safety of everyone in our program.
Class sizes are limited to 9 children and one teacher.
Classes have staggered start and end times to prevent congregation of groups.
We utilize curbside drop-off and pick-up.
The temperature of every staff member and child is taken upon arrival. A temperature of 100 degrees or above requires going home until 24 hours fever-free without the use of medication.
Staff and children wash their hands upon arrival, before eating, after outdoor play and before going home for the day in addition to
any time they use the bathroom or a tissue.
Classes spend 40 minutes outdoors in our play garden. Gross motor play, literacy and art and science activities are available each day.
When outdoor play is not possible due to weather, children use the large gym for active play.
Each classroom is cleaned and sanitized at the end of the school day. Deep cleaning takes place on Mondays. Communal areas are
sanitized between groups of children.
Since parental access to the building is limited, we are utilizing the Remind App for communication. Classroom teachers send messages photos on a regular basis to keep parents informed.
