Felicia Doan

Director/Teacher

Felicia Doan is a graduate of Northwest High School and R.G. Drage Career Center, where she completed a two-year Early Childhood program. She earned her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and completed coursework toward her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education at Stark State College. Felicia has worked with children in a variety of settings, including Canal Fulton Public Library, Epworth Nursery School, and Kids Play in downtown Akron.

After owning and operating a retail business in Hartville for 10 years, Felicia returned to her passion for working with children and joined Northampton Christian Preschool in fall 2025. “Mrs. Felicia” is the lead teacher in the Bees morning class in addition to the director of the preschool.

Felicia and her husband, Kevin, have two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and supporting her children in their activities and sports including lacrosse, kickboxing, and basketball.

Dawn White

Lead Teacher

Dawn White joined Northampton Christian Preschool in 2018. She holds a degree in Psychology from Ursuline College and has experience working with developmentally delayed adults. Dawn also operated a family daycare for many years, further growing her passion for caring for and teaching young children.

Dawn and her husband have three adult children, all NCP alumni. She enjoys playing the piano and guitar, sewing, walking her dog, and cheering on her children in their pursuits.

“Mrs. Dawn” loves sharing her musical talents with students, bringing joy to the children through music and her guitar. You will find her as the lead teacher in the morning Birds class and co-teaching in the afternoon.

Maria hengle

Lead Teacher

Maria Hengle holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. After 12 years in a corporate career, she chose to stay home to raise her family. During that time, she discovered Northampton Christian Preschool, and both of her children are proud NCP alumni. Maria has since served in children’s ministry for several years, where her passion for working with children and sharing God’s love has continued to grow. “Mrs. Maria” joined our staff during the 2025-2026 school year is currently the lead teacher in the Bunnies morning classroom and co-teaching in the afternoon.

Maria and her husband, Justin, enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, swimming, camping, traveling, and exploring. In her free time, Maria enjoys reading and practicing yoga. They have two children and an energetic dog named Bear.

Nora Davis

assistant Teacher

Nora Davis has been a valued member of Northampton Christian Preschool since its opening in 1995. She brings a deep love for children and a strong commitment to ministry. Originally trained as a nurse, Nora furthered her education by earning an Associate degree in Child Development.

As one of the teachers in the Bunnies classroom, “Mrs. Davis” shares her passion for science and art while meeting each child where they are through developmentally appropriate practices. She helps create a nurturing environment that supports both learning and growth.

Nora and her husband, Korky, have been married for over 40 years. They are blessed with three grown children and four grandchildren.

abby adle

assistant Teacher

Abby Adle graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2024 with a degree in theology. She has always loved working with kids and is so excited to teach at Northampton Christian Preschool. Abby married her husband Matthew in May and they are expecting a little one in March 2027. 

Abby has been a member at Christ Community Chapel for two years where she is involved in kids ministry. She finds joy in show kids the love of God in whatever way possible.

“Mrs. Abby” joins the staff as assistant teacher in the morning Bees class and co-teaching in the afternoon.

 

kelley doan

assistant Teacher

Kelley Doan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development. She worked for Kids Play starting in 1989 until they finally closed their door in 2020. After that, she worked for Woodridge as a substitute before joining the NCP team for the 2026-2027 school year.

Kelley has one child who is currently enrolled at Cleveland State. They enjoy traveling together and spending time with family.

“Miss Kelley” will be the assistant teacher in the Birds class and looks forward to returning to the early childhood development arena.
