Welcome to 2024 – January Newsletter

by | Jan 9, 2024 | Newsletters

It seems like we just the turned the calendar to January 2023 and now a whole year later took merely days to get here. 2024 has arrived! It is going to be a big year. New adventures are surely waiting as we begin our journey through the next 366 days. Yes, we get an extra one in 2024 due to this being Leap Year. For some of us older parents, our kids are finishing up high school, graduating, and heading to college this year. Most of you are still in the phase of raising your small children, but soon enough you will start to feel big changes become reality too. It happens sooner than you think it will. In a few short months many of your children will no longer be preschoolers…We will be sending them off to the big house otherwise known as Kindergarten. So enjoy these days. They are hard. They are long. They are exhausting. BUT you can’t get them back. Make it your year to make every day count. Enjoy the small stuff…even the cold rainy weather that may be turning to snow!  HAPPY 2024 NCP FAMILIES!

2024-2025 Registration

Even though we are just starting the second half of our school year, we are already planning for Fall 2024. Registration for next school year will open to our current families on Tuesday, January 16th. Registration forms will be sent home with your child that day. All current NCP families will have the registration fee waived, but you must turn in the form to be placed on the enrollment list. Forms can be handed in at drop off or pick up. If you have any questions, please reach out to the director. Community registration will open on Saturday, January 27th. If you know of anyone that may be interested in our program, we are holding an open house that day from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in our preschool wing.

Outdoor Play

As the weather turns colder, we still try to find those days when we can head outside for our recess time. The kids love the chance to get some fresh air during the long months that typically keep us cooped up inside. We won’t go out if the temperature is below 25 degrees, it is raining, or the play area is icy. Please remember to send a coat, hat, and mittens with your child each day. Boots are also great for our wet and snowy playground, but they tend to get hot and heavy for the students to wear for the entire school day. For your convenience, you may leave a pair of tennis shoes at school for your child to use when inside the building or just send shoes daily in their backpacks.

Inclement Weather

Just a reminder that if school is going to be closed due to inclement weather, we will send a class Remind message, post on the class private and school Facebook pages, and send an email to let you know that we will be closing. We try to make the decision as early as possible and take guidance from our neighborhood school districts that also making that tough decision.

Tax Receipts

If you are in need of a tax receipt for 2023’s tuition payments, please send an email to the director at These statements will be prepared upon your request.
